Advocate Doula Services provides birth and postpartum doula care in the northcentral WI area. I am based in Wausau, WI.
I work with clients who are hoping to deliver in the hospital, at a freestanding birth center, or at home. Both low and high-risk pregnancy support is available. I support both planned vaginal and planned cesarean births.
I offer a range of services to meet the unique needs of every family. I am a DONA-trained birth doula. I also offer postpartum support services, including lactation and newborn care support, as well as postpartum meal prep. My Christian faith is at the core of my desire to serve families. As such, I also offer the optional integration of faith-based pregnancy and labor support, as desired.

My standard and comprehensive package covers your entire childbearing journey from pregnancy to postpartum. Package pricing starts at $950.
Includes: 3+ prenatal/birth prep visits, continuous active labor support through one hour post-delivery, and 2+ postpartum visits.

Walking alongside families who have been given a fatal fetal diagnosis or are expecting a stillborn child is particularly near and dear to my heart, as my eldest child was given a fatal diagnosis in utero. Although her diagnosis turned out to be incorrect, it shaped the rest of my pregnancy and birth.
No one facing a pregnancy or infant loss deserves to be alone in those moments. Every family deserves compassionate, understanding, trained professional support through their pregnancy, birth, and loss. You and your baby are worthy of care and support. Pregnancy is pregnancy and birth is birth, no matter the outcome. You matter, and your baby matters.
As I understand that there are often unexpected costs that come with infant loss or fetal anomalies, I work with families to come up with a pricing agreement that feels fair and dignified for everyone involved. Therefore, pricing varies, but will never be more than $950.
Includes: 3+ prenatal/birth prep visits, continuous active labor support through one hour post-delivery, 2+ postpartum and or post-loss visits, and ongoing grief support for at least one year.

This package is for women and families looking for an extra hand during their ‘fourth trimester’. Possible services during visits are tailored to each client’s needs but may involve lactation support, newborn care, light housekeeping, overnight care,etc. Package pricing starts at $240 for 12 hours. Pay-per-visit pricing starts at $50 for a two-hour daytime visit, and $200 for an eight-hour overnight visit.
Included: Varies based on client need. Visits range from two to twelve hours.

Whole and healthful nourishment is one of the most pivotal ways we can replenish our bodies after they do so much for us during pregnancy and birth. However, it can be difficult to prepare nutritious meals during the often overwhelming postpartum period. Let me help by assisting you in preparing or preparing for you comforting and nourishing meals that can be frozen or stored away for you to make postpartum. Meal prepping can be combined with any of the above packages as an add-on service or contracted as a stand-alone service. Packages start at $250.
Includes: At least 5 days’ worth of meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) tailored to your taste buds and dietary preferences.
What do pre/postnatal visits and labor support look like?
Prenatal Visits
Ongoing check-ins, birth planning sessions, and evidence-based resources designed to prepare you mentally, emotionally, and physically for labor. Comfort measure and coping technique practice (for your partner as well, as desired). Access to my full lending library. Continuous text and phone support.
Labor Support
Continuous in-person assistance throughout active labor and the immediate hour after birth. Techniques, tools, and advocacy are tailored to your birth plan and birthing location. Access to my entire birth bag and arsenal of tools. Support for your partner is also provided. Planned c-section support also available.
Postpartum Visits
Flexible home visits that focus on your recovery, and emotional well-being. Birth story processing and debriefing. Trained lactation support and newborn care guidance. Overnight support available.
Christian Doula Services
My Christian faith is at the core of my desire to serve families as Christ did and as he encouraged his disciples to do. As such, I also offer the optional integration of faith-based pregnancy and labor support. Faith-based support includes prayer, scriptural encouragement, bible based affirmations, worship music, etc. to help you find strength in God and His design for pregnancy and birth.
